在这里学什么？ - Study your foundation year, then progress to the full degree.- Develop important knowledge and skills from the very first day.- Undertake applied projects and explore different ways of working.This foundation year has been designed to enhance your knowledge of nutrition, diet and wellbeing in advance of undergraduate study. You'll study a range of topics, and apply your skills on rewarding projects and assignments. After completing your foundation, you'll have everything you need for full honours degree study, and progress directly onto the BSc Nutrition, Diet and Wellbeing course.The course is suitable if you don't meet the entry requirements for our BSc (Honours) Nutrition, Diet and Wellbeing course, or you want extra preparation before starting degree-level study. You share the first year with other Sheffield Business School foundation year students, then move on to the degree.You will learn in a supportive, challenging and exciting environment. You will be based in Sheffield Business School, a vibrant, dynamic setting with excellent facilities and located in the heart of the city.You learn through:- lectures and seminars- case studies- presentations- self-directed study- work placements- activities and eventsIn the foundation year, you'll study wider business topics, while specialising in your chosen subject area. You'll learn useful skills such as academic writing, work in diverse teams and learn to utilise a wide variety of data sources. In doing so, you'll fully prepare yourself for undergraduate study.**Applied learning****Degree preparation**After the foundation year, you will be ready to start the full degree. BSc Nutrition, Diet and Wellbeing is an engaging, challenging course where you will learn to excel in your field, under expert tutelage and with fantastic opportunities for progression, networking and work placements throughout.**Work placements**As a student on the full BSc Nutrition, Diet and Wellbeing course you will have the opportunity to undertake an optional paid placement year. We have a robust support system in place to help you when preparing and applying for a placement, and you will be supported by a dedicated work and employability mentor. Completing a placement is a great way to significantly enhance your professional development portfolio which could be used to support an application for recognition by an appropriate professional body such as the Association for Nutrition.**Live projects**On the full degree, you will have the opportunity to work on range of consultancy projects. For example, past students have worked on the development and nutritional analysis of a seasonal menu for a local dementia friendly café, healthy eating classroom education sessions in local primary schools, cook and eat sessions for a local scouts group and the development of a cooking resource pack for young adults with learning difficulties.**Field trips**Once you have progressed to the full degree, there are a number of field trips embedded in different modules to provide context to your learning and give you the opportunity to apply your skills. Past students have attended Food Matters Live, and various British Dietetic Association workshops.**Networking opportunities**The placement, live projects and field trips provide excellent networking opportunities. Additionally, alumni are invited regularly to come and meet our current students. This represents a fantastic opportunity to not only get a critical insight of different career options, but also start building your own professional network.**Competitions**We encourage our degree students to submit their work to the Nutrition Society student conference and relevant awards. In the past, our students have been recognised externally for the high standard of their work.

为来自中国的学生设计 The following qualifications from China will be considered for entry on to undergraduate programmes, with a minimum average of 60 per cent: Diploma from Specialised College (Zhongzhnan); Diploma from Vocational Secondary School (Zhixiao); Three year middle school diploma plus foundation degree; and A levels. Graduate Diploma from: Radio and TV Universities; Spare Time Universities; Training Colleges for Administrative cadres; Higher Education Self Study Examinations; Adult Education/Adult Education in Science and Technology subjects; Senior High School Diploma; Chinese University Entrance Examination (until 2003); College Graduation Diploma (Dazhuan awarded by university/college on completion of 2-3 years study). Applicants who have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at a Chinese university may be considered for direct entry to Sheffield Hallam University undergraduate programmes. Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from international school students taking the International Baccalaureate Diploma and those achieving 28 points or more will usually be successful in obtaining an offer of a place on our undergraduate programmes. IELTS for UKVI 6.0; Listening: minimum level 5.5; Speaking: minimum level 5.5; Reading: minimum level 5.5; Writing: minimum level 5.5.
