You’ll apply your theoretical study directly to your practice setting — where you’ll work on real cases.Nurses are an integral part of a multidisciplinary team. In some modules, you will learn and collaborate with students from other health and social care courses. This approach will help you to deliver person centred-care with an understanding of how other professionals contribute to the person's journey through health and social care services.You learn through• practice learning (50%)• lectures• workshops• projects and group work• presentations• simulation• independent learning• skills rehearsal• technology enhanced learning**Applied learning****Work placements**Practice-based learning is central to your development and you spend 50% of each year on placement within a hospital, community or independent sector setting across Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Bassetlaw, Barnsley and Chesterfield.You will undertake a range of exciting placements in stimulating environments, helping you build your skills, confidence, creativity, resilience, integrity and curiosity. These are essential to healthcare provision.During your placements, you’ll be supported by practice supervisor to help you develop your skills and competency. Your academic study supports your learning on placement and your placement experience allows you to consider the application of evidence to practice. This will help you to develop both personally and professionally, and you will become a knowledgeable problem solver and critical thinker.We also offer a Student Management of Acute Illness: Recognition and Treatment day (SMART), where you study with medical students.**Accreditation**This course is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Graduates are eligible to apply to register with them. You must be registered with the NMC in order to practise as a nurse in the UK

为来自中国的学生设计 The following qualifications from China will be considered for entry on to undergraduate programmes, with a minimum average of 60 per cent: Diploma from Specialised College (Zhongzhnan); Diploma from Vocational Secondary School (Zhixiao); Three year middle school diploma plus foundation degree; and A levels. Graduate Diploma from: Radio and TV Universities; Spare Time Universities; Training Colleges for Administrative cadres; Higher Education Self Study Examinations; Adult Education/Adult Education in Science and Technology subjects; Senior High School Diploma; Chinese University Entrance Examination (until 2003); College Graduation Diploma (Dazhuan awarded by university/college on completion of 2-3 years study). Applicants who have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at a Chinese university may be considered for direct entry to Sheffield Hallam University undergraduate programmes. Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from international school students taking the International Baccalaureate Diploma and those achieving 28 points or more will usually be successful in obtaining an offer of a place on our undergraduate programmes. IELTS for UKVI 6.0; Listening: minimum level 5.5; Speaking: minimum level 5.5; Reading: minimum level 5.5; Writing: minimum level 5.5.
