在这里学什么？ **Course summary**Prepare for the degree with an extra foundation year at the start.- After the foundation year, gain real legal work experience in every year of your degree.- Take work placements in legal settings across the UK and overseas.- Study modules designed around the Solicitors Qualifying Examination.- Work in our on-campus law firm alongside practising lawyers and specialist academics.Overall on this course, you’ll gain the skills, experience, contacts and credentials you need to kick-start your legal career. You’ll do real legal work through our on-campus law firm while gaining a detailed legal education, designed around the Solicitors Qualifying Examination. When you graduate, you will not only have a law degree — you’ll have extensive legal work experience to support your qualification as a Solicitor.**How you learn**This foundation year is an entry route if you do not yet meet the entry requirements for our LLB (Hons) Law course, if you are not yet ready for degree level study, or if you are returning to study and would like to spend time getting up to speed with the demands of learning before embarking on a degree.You will share the foundation year with other Law, Criminology, Policing and Psychology foundation students, before moving on to your subject-specific degree.You learn throughLecturesSeminarsWorkshopsteam meetingspeer learningguest lecturesYou will receive feedback regularly from your tutors, peers and through guided self-reflection to help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to undertake the various module assessments.**Applied learning**On your LLB (Hons) Law course, following completion of your foundation year you will have a range of opportunities to apply your learning and gain valuable practical experience.**SHU Law**Our regulated and supervised on-campus law firm, SHU Law, offers law students a unique chance to get ahead with their solicitor qualifications. You’ll gain vital industry experience, working alongside Solicitors on real cases.Uniquely, your work with SHU Law is fully integrated into your course from your first year, and will continue throughout your studies.**Work placements**In your final year, you can choose to opt out of SHU Law work placements and enter an external legal setting.Placements have been taken at major national and international law firms such as Irwin Mitchell and DLA Piper, and often involve sitting in on real hearings and court cases with Solicitors. You may also gain a placement in areas such as local government, coroners’ offices or local law firms.There are also international work placements available in the USA, including at the Public Defenders’ Office in Savannah, and Innocence Project in San Diego (subject to the UK’s continued participation in the Erasmus+ programme following the Brexit transition period).**Social justice**Throughout the course, you’ll help and advocate for those who don’t have or can’t afford representation. You’ll have opportunities to work on our court helpdesks, providing vital free legal advice to members of the public, to contribute to projects in our Human Rights Clinic, which is part of the award-winning Helena Kennedy Centre for International Justice, and to work within the Refugee Family Reunion Clinic assisting refugees with family reunification applications.

为来自中国的学生设计 The following qualifications from China will be considered for entry on to undergraduate programmes, with a minimum average of 60 per cent: Diploma from Specialised College (Zhongzhnan); Diploma from Vocational Secondary School (Zhixiao); Three year middle school diploma plus foundation degree; and A levels. Graduate Diploma from: Radio and TV Universities; Spare Time Universities; Training Colleges for Administrative cadres; Higher Education Self Study Examinations; Adult Education/Adult Education in Science and Technology subjects; Senior High School Diploma; Chinese University Entrance Examination (until 2003); College Graduation Diploma (Dazhuan awarded by university/college on completion of 2-3 years study). Applicants who have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at a Chinese university may be considered for direct entry to Sheffield Hallam University undergraduate programmes. Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from international school students taking the International Baccalaureate Diploma and those achieving 28 points or more will usually be successful in obtaining an offer of a place on our undergraduate programmes. IELTS for UKVI 6.0; Listening: minimum level 5.5; Speaking: minimum level 5.5; Reading: minimum level 5.5; Writing: minimum level 5.5.
