Learn to communicate information and ideas clearly in different formats appropriate to a variety of audiences.**How you learn**You're taught by a team of skilled lecturers who offer industry and academic experience. Staff have been published on topics such as the psychology of motivation in exercise and health, physical activity participation in older adults, exercise and appetite, effects of exercise on metabolism in diabetes, perceptions and participation in physical activity during pregnancy. You are given the opportunity to conduct your own enquiries into a range of themes around physical activity.**You learn through**- lectures- seminars and workshops- laboratory practical classes- sport and fitness practical classes- online learning activities- off-site visits (physical activity organisations, schools)- work placements- research projectsThere are opportunities to study abroad at one of our partner universities with the possibility of funding through the Erasmus programme (subject to the UK’s continued participation in the Erasmus programme following the Brexit transition period).**Applied learningWork placements**A mandatory six-week (minimum) placement in an appropriate setting is a significant component of the course. This provides you with the opportunity to apply theory to real-world practice and further enhance your employability and professional skills. You're also provided with significant opportunities to undertake additional placements, internships and volunteer roles.

为来自中国的学生设计 The following qualifications from China will be considered for entry on to undergraduate programmes, with a minimum average of 60 per cent: Diploma from Specialised College (Zhongzhnan); Diploma from Vocational Secondary School (Zhixiao); Three year middle school diploma plus foundation degree; and A levels. Graduate Diploma from: Radio and TV Universities; Spare Time Universities; Training Colleges for Administrative cadres; Higher Education Self Study Examinations; Adult Education/Adult Education in Science and Technology subjects; Senior High School Diploma; Chinese University Entrance Examination (until 2003); College Graduation Diploma (Dazhuan awarded by university/college on completion of 2-3 years study). Applicants who have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at a Chinese university may be considered for direct entry to Sheffield Hallam University undergraduate programmes. Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from international school students taking the International Baccalaureate Diploma and those achieving 28 points or more will usually be successful in obtaining an offer of a place on our undergraduate programmes. IELTS for UKVI 6.0; Listening: minimum level 5.5; Speaking: minimum level 5.5; Reading: minimum level 5.5; Writing: minimum level 5.5.
