A master’s in art education from MU can help you expand your teaching skills and advance your career. If you want to examine contemporary art topics, explore studio experiences as an artist-teacher and conduct authentic research in your school or other community environments, this may be the degree for you.

The MEd in art education offers you the opportunity to examine contemporary art topics, explore studio experiences as an art teacher and conduct authentic research in your school or other community environments.

This is a 32-hour hybrid program, including nine credit hours of on-campus summer courses and 20 to 23 credit hours of online course work. It does not lead to certification.

Delivery of this program is blended. Most course work can be completed online, but you must complete at least 9 credit hours on campus.

Courses are semester-based. Students typically take two classes each semester and finish in under three years.

为来自中国的学生设计 Minimum Admission Requirements: Have earned a U.S. bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution. Have earned a 3.0 or better GPA in the last 60 hours of baccalaureate coursework (for applicants with less than a master’s degree). Language Requirements: TOEFL Internet-based - 80 (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing - 17 each), IELTS Academic - 6.5 (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing - 6 each), PTE - 59, Cambridge C1 Advanced - 180.
