在这里学什么？ **Course summary**- Prepare for your degree with an extra foundation year at the start- Develop your knowledge and understanding of discourses and practices in education, psychology and counselling.- Enhance your ability to critically reflect on and theorise personal experiences and practices.- Optimise your employment opportunities by developing your counselling skills and transferable skills.This foundation year has been designed to enhance your knowledge in advance of undergraduate study. You will prepare for a professional career in a wide range of educational and therapeutic professional contexts whilst developing your understanding of social, developmental and cognitive psychology.**How you learn**This foundation year is suitable if you don't meet the entry requirements for our BA (Honours) Education with Psychology and Counselling course, or you want extra preparation before starting degree-level study.You will share the foundation year with other Psychology, Sociology, Politics, Applied Social Science, Law, Criminology and Policing foundation students, before moving on to your degree.You are taught by academics with specialist knowledge and expertise in a range of areas within education, psychology and counselling.**You learn through**- lectures- seminar discussions- practical classes and workshops- simulation and roleplay- microteaching- counselling skills practice- presentations- group and individual tutorials- guided independent study- peer tutoring- tutor demonstration- fieldwork and project work- external visits- work-based learning placement (including overseas placement)**Applied learning****Work placements**On the full course you will gain valuable experience and professional skills with a two-day per week, seven week placement in a school, college or other education-related organisation.We guarantee to find you a placement, unless you choose to source your own. In your second year there are opportunities to spend a month working abroad with one of our partner institutions (subject to the UK’s continued participation in the Erasmus+ programme following the Brexit transition period).

为来自中国的学生设计 The following qualifications from China will be considered for entry on to undergraduate programmes, with a minimum average of 60 per cent: Diploma from Specialised College (Zhongzhnan); Diploma from Vocational Secondary School (Zhixiao); Three year middle school diploma plus foundation degree; and A levels. Graduate Diploma from: Radio and TV Universities; Spare Time Universities; Training Colleges for Administrative cadres; Higher Education Self Study Examinations; Adult Education/Adult Education in Science and Technology subjects; Senior High School Diploma; Chinese University Entrance Examination (until 2003); College Graduation Diploma (Dazhuan awarded by university/college on completion of 2-3 years study). Applicants who have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at a Chinese university may be considered for direct entry to Sheffield Hallam University undergraduate programmes. Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from international school students taking the International Baccalaureate Diploma and those achieving 28 points or more will usually be successful in obtaining an offer of a place on our undergraduate programmes. IELTS for UKVI 6.0; Listening: minimum level 5.5; Speaking: minimum level 5.5; Reading: minimum level 5.5; Writing: minimum level 5.5.
