在这里学什么？ - Develop the skills to design and secure complex information systems.- Learn to respond appropriately to security incidents by gathering evidence and gaining an understanding of the legal and regulatory environment around complex information systems.The course is accredited by the British Computer Society, and accordingly includes a number of topics fundamental to all computing studies, including principles of security, computing, architecture and networking, databases and programming.**How you learn**You will gain practical experience by installing, configuring, securing and troubleshooting a range of computer systems and networking technologies. You will assess systems for vulnerabilities and detect network intrusions. You will analyse and interpret digital evidence, collected from computers and mobile devices, providing reports to the clients.**You learn through**- lectures- seminars- practical tutorial sessions**Applied learning****Work placements**In the third year, you will have the opportunity to take a year-long paid work placement. This gives you a real-world experience to apply your knowledge and skills in industry, preparing you for your future career.Organisations are looking for experienced staff, and a work placement in industry will provide you with the experience added to your CV in order to secure a desirable security and forensics related position in a competitive job market. Our dedicated placement team will support you through the application process.During the placement year, you will be mentored by a member of academic staff, who will visit you at your placement. Previous students have worked at organisations including- Regional Cyber Crime Unit- HSBC- CYFOR- 3Squared- Satisnet- Next- Sec-1**Live projects**You will undertake an individual project which will enable you to develop your investigative skills in a particular security area of your choice.**Networking opportunities**We include seminars and workshops run by the Institution of Engineering and Technology and by employers such as IBM, BT, Satisnet and Citrix.

为来自中国的学生设计 The following qualifications from China will be considered for entry on to undergraduate programmes, with a minimum average of 60 per cent: Diploma from Specialised College (Zhongzhnan); Diploma from Vocational Secondary School (Zhixiao); Three year middle school diploma plus foundation degree; and A levels. Graduate Diploma from: Radio and TV Universities; Spare Time Universities; Training Colleges for Administrative cadres; Higher Education Self Study Examinations; Adult Education/Adult Education in Science and Technology subjects; Senior High School Diploma; Chinese University Entrance Examination (until 2003); College Graduation Diploma (Dazhuan awarded by university/college on completion of 2-3 years study). Applicants who have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at a Chinese university may be considered for direct entry to Sheffield Hallam University undergraduate programmes. Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from international school students taking the International Baccalaureate Diploma and those achieving 28 points or more will usually be successful in obtaining an offer of a place on our undergraduate programmes. IELTS for UKVI 6.0; Listening: minimum level 5.5; Speaking: minimum level 5.5; Reading: minimum level 5.5; Writing: minimum level 5.5.
