Vital Technology Training

Information Technology specialists run the gamut in skills – from maintaining the databases that users rely upon to gathering information to serve customers; upgrading computer software, or setting up and maintaining the servers on which the company’s applications run. You’ll learn all of this and more with a degree in Information Technology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. This plan prepares you for a variety of IT careers such as systems administrator, network administrator, computer specialist, IT support manager, digital forensics analyst, database manager, database administrator, computer technician, computer security manager, computer systems manager, web designer and developer within commercial, industrial, educational and governmental institutions.

Information Technology Opportunities Abound

Information technology plays a major role in most industries, from finance to health care, and graduates will have career longevity. IT positions are readily available in corporations and small businesses, as the use of computer technology increasingly advances. Professionals with this degree can choose from many computer-based occupations, including overseeing computer and network systems, assisting with new technologies, working in forensics labs and developing websites.

Within this degree, you can choose from several specializations: Forensics; Website Design and Development; Information Technology Management and Administration.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants who have attended an institution located outside the United States must: Possess the equivalent of a U.S. high school/secondary diploma. Proof of English Language Proficiency: Your minimum scores must be: 550 on the paper-based TOEFL exam; 79 on the TOEFL (iBT) exam; 6.0 on the IELTS exam, 53 on the PTE exam; or, you can successfully complete level 112 in the ELS Intensive English Language program.
