在这里学什么？ This is the 4 year course which includes a Professional Placement Year. - This course aims to produce physically and vocally versatile, creative and employable performers. - Over three years in our prestigious acting course, you work with our dedicated staff in a variety of genres and repertoires, from classical to contemporary.- Innovative collaborations with Theatre Production, Music, and Film, Television and Digital Production students will enrich your experience.- Work with directors, practitioners and industry professionals in both live performance and recorded media.- Develop professional working relationships and vital networking skills.The intense professional focus of the course makes this a highly specialised award for students seeking careers in the industry and equips you with the with the rigorous academic knowledge required for postgraduate study. BA (Hons) Acting offers you the essential practical and creative skills for becoming independent thinkers, motivated artists and freelance practitioners.Regular technical classes develop your voice, singing, movement and comedy skills to a professional level. Acting classes and performance projects explore the key processes and practitioners that inform contemporary approaches to acting. Acting for camera training is practical, skills-based and industry-aware. Underpinning the practical work is an emphasis on the vital interaction between academic research and acting processes.- Please note that this course doesn't offer deferred entry. If you wish to be considered for 2021/22 entry, you'll need to apply in the following year's UCAS cycle. **More about the Professional Placement Year**A Professional Placement Year (PPY), traditionally known as a sandwich year, is where a student undertakes a period of work with an external organisation for between 9-13 months. The placement occurs between the students' second and third years of undergraduate study. Students can engage in up to 3 placements to make up the total time and are required to source the placement(s) themselves with support from the Careers & Employability Team.
