在这里学什么？The one-year taught MSc Mathematics at the University of Winchester is tailored to provide you with the necessary cutting-edge mathematical techniques to succeed in the current job market.
Whether you are a recent graduate interested in exceedingly advanced mathematics or are looking to expand your current career options, our MSc is geared for graduates with an interest in advancing their knowledge of pure and applied mathematics.
This versatile and flexible Masters programme is designed in a way that allows you to tailor your degree by offering you a large array of pure and applied mathematics modules taught by active researchers. Modules include: Metric Spaces, General Topology, Science Communication, Topics in Statistical Analysis and Computational Mathematics, to name a few.
As a fundamental aspect of your degree you will undertake an in-depth independent research project in the form of a master’s Thesis. Supervised by a member of staff, you will be allowed to choose a topic that interests you from our areas of expertise, including: Neuro informatics, Principal Component Analysis and Surrogate Modelling, Mathematical Programming, Philosophy of Science and Maths, Spatial Statistics, Set Theory and Category Theory, Combinatorics, and many more.
CareersMany top jobs require mathematical ability. A Masters-level qualification in Mathematics provides flexibility for a range of careers whether your interests lie in pure or applied maths. You may go on to study a PhD or find jobs in industry, teaching, data analysis, government and finance.
