在这里学什么？ - Study your foundation year, then progress to a degree with industry accreditation from the Institute of Hospitality (IoH).- Study a robust programme of business and hospitality-specific modules.- Gain a qualification that combines research, theory, general business acumen and real-world work experience.This course has a reputation for producing high-calibre, well-rounded graduates. You can choose to specialise in culinary arts, conferences or events. Our flexible, responsive programme is designed for you in collaboration with our industry partners to meet the need for forward-thinking, innovative hospitality graduates who can strategically manage complex business operations.**How you learn**The course is suitable if you don't meet the entry requirements for our BSc (Hons) International Hospitality Business Management course, or you want extra preparation before starting degree-level study. You share the first year with other Sheffield Business School foundation year students, then move on to the degree.You are taught by lecturers with a rich industry background from serving the Queen to opening new hotels and owning catering businesses who infuse teaching with research, industry expertise and passion for hospitality. You will be provided with a challenging and supportive learning environment where you will experience 'hands-on' practical learning combined with a traditional classroom environment.You learn through- lectures- seminars- problem-solving exercises- presentations- workshops and practical sessions in our state-of-the art facilities- field trips- site visits- work with external organisationsIn the foundation year, you'll study wider business topics, while specialising in your chosen subject area. You'll learn useful skills such as academic writing, work in diverse teams and learn to utilise a wide variety of data sources. In doing so, you'll fully prepare yourself for undergraduate study.**Applied learning****Live projects**Opportunities for learning are not just limited to the classroom. Your final year requires you to consult directly with a hospitality business to resolve a real-life business issue. Depending on the specialist route you have chosen you may: plan and deliver a hospitality event, engage in culinary product development or design and analyse a hospitality marketing campaign.**Networking opportunities**Industry interaction comes formally through visiting speakers and informally through our association with the Institute of Hospitality, our strong alumni network and the activities of our hospitality society. We're proud to be one of the founding partners of the Classroom to Boardroom event, which introduces you to a variety of stakeholders through the medium of round table discussions and networking activities.**Competitions**You're encouraged to participate in competitions which celebrate success within the industry. Previous students have been winners or finalists of The Young Guns competition, an industry award that recognises those who have excelled during their placement year. Students have also participated in Passion 4 Hospitality, Young Hoteliers Summit and Zest Quest Asia and many others.

为来自中国的学生设计 The following qualifications from China will be considered for entry on to undergraduate programmes, with a minimum average of 60 per cent: Diploma from Specialised College (Zhongzhnan); Diploma from Vocational Secondary School (Zhixiao); Three year middle school diploma plus foundation degree; and A levels. Graduate Diploma from: Radio and TV Universities; Spare Time Universities; Training Colleges for Administrative cadres; Higher Education Self Study Examinations; Adult Education/Adult Education in Science and Technology subjects; Senior High School Diploma; Chinese University Entrance Examination (until 2003); College Graduation Diploma (Dazhuan awarded by university/college on completion of 2-3 years study). Applicants who have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at a Chinese university may be considered for direct entry to Sheffield Hallam University undergraduate programmes. Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from international school students taking the International Baccalaureate Diploma and those achieving 28 points or more will usually be successful in obtaining an offer of a place on our undergraduate programmes. IELTS for UKVI 6.0; Listening: minimum level 5.5; Speaking: minimum level 5.5; Reading: minimum level 5.5; Writing: minimum level 5.5.
