On this course, you can choose to specialise in an area of your choice. Your final degree will reflect the specialism in its title, boosting your career prospects in that field.**How you learn**You develop your skills through a combination of seminars and workshops, by attending lectures and by completing projects. International and national field trips, site visits and work with external organisations enhance your engagement and understanding of the complexities and challenges of operating in the international events industry.Other methods used include* live events* guest speakers* problem solving exercises* case studies* individual and group presentations* directed learning activities**Applied learningLive projects**Activity-based learning is used throughout the course to develop key skills, culminating in the final year where you will design, plan, market and deliver an event, either for a local charity or a business client, using all of the skills, knowledge and experience gained throughout the course.Throughout the course, our links with local and national event organisers mean that you will be able to undertake work experience in a variety of event sectors. Previous work experience has been offered from the Glastonbury Festival, Welcome to Yorkshire, O2 Academy Sheffield, Tramlines Festival, The Great North Run, Cancer Research UK and Sheffield United.**Networking opportunities**Our links with industry mean you will be able to engage with a wide range of guest speakers from across the events industry. Previous guest speakers have included Martin Green of the London 2012 organising committee (LOCOG), Simon Graveling of Athens 2004, London 2012 and Sochi 2014, David Jamilly of Theme Traders, and Jon Hughes from KPMG.所属院系

为来自中国的学生设计 The following qualifications from China will be considered for entry on to undergraduate programmes, with a minimum average of 60 per cent: Diploma from Specialised College (Zhongzhnan); Diploma from Vocational Secondary School (Zhixiao); Three year middle school diploma plus foundation degree; and A levels. Graduate Diploma from: Radio and TV Universities; Spare Time Universities; Training Colleges for Administrative cadres; Higher Education Self Study Examinations; Adult Education/Adult Education in Science and Technology subjects; Senior High School Diploma; Chinese University Entrance Examination (until 2003); College Graduation Diploma (Dazhuan awarded by university/college on completion of 2-3 years study). Applicants who have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at a Chinese university may be considered for direct entry to Sheffield Hallam University undergraduate programmes. Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from international school students taking the International Baccalaureate Diploma and those achieving 28 points or more will usually be successful in obtaining an offer of a place on our undergraduate programmes.
