You’ll tailor your learning through specialist and elective modules – taught in state-of-the-art facilities by experts in the world of business and academia.You learn through- lectures and seminars- in-class discussions and debates- field trips- group tasks- individual projects- digital learning platforms- case studies- presentations to peers and businesses- business plans- reflective journals- project reports- gamification**Applied learning****Work placements**You’ll have the opportunity to arrange a year-long work placement in between your second and third years. This gives you a real-world experience to prepare you for your future career, as well as useful industry contacts. Previous placement years have taken place at organisations such as 3M, BAE Systems, Hoya Lens UK, Microsoft, River Island and Asda.There’s also an opportunity to receive support in running your own business during this time. The Placement Year Enterprise Scheme allows you to receive a bursary from the University's Research and Innovation Office, alongside useful advice and facilities in the business centre. This support is also available for up to five years after you graduate.**Field trips**You’ll have the opportunity to attend field trips throughout your time on the course. Recent field trips include students running pop-up shops at Sheffield Maker’s Market in St Mary’s Church & Conference Centre, and working with local secondary schools to deliver creative activity workshops to pupils. **Networking opportunities**You’ll have plenty of networking opportunities throughout the course – with frequent guest speakers, a placement year and a close relationship with the local business community and our alumni. There’s also extensive extracurricular activity in this field, particularly from the highly active, student-run Enterprise Society.

为来自中国的学生设计 The following qualifications from China will be considered for entry on to undergraduate programmes, with a minimum average of 60 per cent: Diploma from Specialised College (Zhongzhnan); Diploma from Vocational Secondary School (Zhixiao); Three year middle school diploma plus foundation degree; and A levels. Graduate Diploma from: Radio and TV Universities; Spare Time Universities; Training Colleges for Administrative cadres; Higher Education Self Study Examinations; Adult Education/Adult Education in Science and Technology subjects; Senior High School Diploma; Chinese University Entrance Examination (until 2003); College Graduation Diploma (Dazhuan awarded by university/college on completion of 2-3 years study). Applicants who have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at a Chinese university may be considered for direct entry to Sheffield Hallam University undergraduate programmes. Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from international school students taking the International Baccalaureate Diploma and those achieving 28 points or more will usually be successful in obtaining an offer of a place on our undergraduate programmes. IELTS for UKVI 6.0; Listening: minimum level 5.5; Speaking: minimum level 5.5; Reading: minimum level 5.5; Writing: minimum level 5.5.
