在这里学什么?Designed for professionals who work as trainers in business, industry, education, military, government, and non-profit organizations, this program requires 36 credit hours. No thesis is required.
The Training and Development program at NC State is committed to improving human performance in organizations through graduate study. Tailored to the working adult, the M.Ed. in Training and Development is the only graduate program of its type in North Carolina. The program is structured around a core body of knowledge in adult education and the principles and theories of human performance improvement. The curriculum builds advanced understandings and skills in program design and the applications of learning theory incorporating principles, research, and practice.
PLAN OF STUDY
Courses are offered in Fall and Spring semesters, with all required courses offered once per year (EAC 692 is offered in both Fall and Spring). Twelve courses including a capstone course/project are required to earn the degree; students proceed at their own pace. Full-time graduate students enroll in three courses (9 credit hours) per semester; part-time graduate students typically enroll in one or two courses (3 or 6 credit hours) per semester.
CAREER PROSPECTS
The Master of Education in Training and Development is designed for entering or experienced training professionals who work in internal or external training positions in business, industry, education, military, government, and non-profit institutions. Individuals completing this master’s program will have sufficient professional knowledge and skill for entry or advancement in instructional design and instructional, administrative, or evaluation positions that involve performance-based training.
