专业概况

在这里学什么？

The focus of the program is physical inactivity, exercise and nutrition strategies for weight management and the prevention of lifestyle related diseases. Our faculty continually develop new knowledge in exercise training, exercise metabolism and obesity.

The mission of the program is to train graduate students who will provide professional leadership and research developments in the areas of human health.

The curriculum has a scientific basis with core courses in exercise physiology, nutrition, biochemistry, and physiology. Exercise physiology research emphasizes human studies, but other exercise models are available on campus, including the pig (Vet. Biomedical Sci.) and the rat (Medical School and VA).

Teaching and research assistantships are available on a competitive basis.

为来自中国的学生设计 Minimum Admission Requirements: Have earned a U.S. bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution. Have earned a 3.0 or better GPA in the last 60 hours of baccalaureate coursework (for applicants with less than a master’s degree). Language Requirements: TOEFL Internet-based - 80 (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing - 17 each), IELTS Academic - 6.5 (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing - 6 each), PTE - 59, Cambridge C1 Advanced - 180.
