在这里学什么？ **Course Summary**- Develop your practical skills through fieldwork in the outdoors.- Gain knowledge in all key areas of geography or specialise in your areas of interest.- Apply your knowledge to real-world problems and issues using geographical ideas, skills and techniques.- Have the opportunity to work abroad — with the possibility of Erasmus funding being available for European placements.Develop an advanced understanding of human, physical and environmental geography on a practically focused course. You will combine both the academic and vocational aspects of geography, preparing you for a career in the environment.**How you learn**Learning from first-hand experience is a key part of our approach to study on this course. You will be encouraged to use skills taught in the classroom on real-life projects.You learn through:- fieldwork- work placements- laboratory classes- IT sessions- lectures and seminars- tutorials and workshops- field tripsThere are opportunities to study abroad at one of our partner universities with the possibility of funding through the Erasmus programme (subject to the UK’s continued participation in the Erasmus programme following the Brexit transition period). **Applied learningWork placements**You will have the opportunity to arrange a year-long work placement in between your second and third years. This gives you a real-world experience to prepare you for your future career. Recently our students have gained placements at local authorities, wildlife trusts, the Environment Agency, Transport for London, Global Vision International and Peak District National Park Authority.You could choose a placement abroad; our students have recently gone to Tampere in Finland and Sognaogfjordane in Norway to study. We also have links in countries including France, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria and Spain. We also have similar links with international universities outside Europe, including the University of Queensland in Australia and Ryerson University in Canada.Many of our European partner institutions teach in English, but to support your international placement, or future international aspirations, you can study a foreign language.**Field trips**As well as our onsite facilities, we also use the outside world as a resource for our teaching, including urban and rural areas in the UK, the Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, Tenerife and Iceland. Fieldwork is important for putting your learning into context and these are some of the richest learning experiences on the course.**Networking opportunities**We have an active student Geography Society that organises social and academic events including a programme of invited speakers.

为来自中国的学生设计 The following qualifications from China will be considered for entry on to undergraduate programmes, with a minimum average of 60 per cent: Diploma from Specialised College (Zhongzhnan); Diploma from Vocational Secondary School (Zhixiao); Three year middle school diploma plus foundation degree; and A levels. Graduate Diploma from: Radio and TV Universities; Spare Time Universities; Training Colleges for Administrative cadres; Higher Education Self Study Examinations; Adult Education/Adult Education in Science and Technology subjects; Senior High School Diploma; Chinese University Entrance Examination (until 2003); College Graduation Diploma (Dazhuan awarded by university/college on completion of 2-3 years study). Applicants who have completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at a Chinese university may be considered for direct entry to Sheffield Hallam University undergraduate programmes. Sheffield Hallam welcomes applications from international school students taking the International Baccalaureate Diploma and those achieving 28 points or more will usually be successful in obtaining an offer of a place on our undergraduate programmes. IELTS for UKVI 6.0; Listening: minimum level 5.5; Speaking: minimum level 5.5; Reading: minimum level 5.5; Writing: minimum level 5.5.
