Statisticians are in high demand in a wide variety of fields ranging from business to government and science to industry. This includes government agencies, pharmaceutical companies, medical institutes, financial institutions, insurance companies, industrial firms, energy companies, environment, public safety, health care and even sports. Your Master of Science in Statistics at the University of Houston-Clear Lake offers you a balance of statistical theory and statistical methods and applications. We will provide you with the fundamental tools and conceptual foundations in quantitative reasoning for making advances in the sciences, decisions in industries and development and implementation of government property.

Enhanced statistical analysis impacts informed business and healthcare decisions in greater ways than ever before. If you have a background in mathematics, science, engineering or any major with a related background, this degree could be suitable for you. Earning your Master of Science in Statistics from UHCL will prepare you for a position in the federal government doing data analysis, conducting scientific research for a private company or assisting technology firms with “big data” efforts. As part of your degree, you can choose from two specializations: Applied Statistics; Big Data Analytics.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants will be considered for admission to University of Houston-Clear Lake, if they have earned bachelor's degrees or higher (as applicable) from a regionally accredited institution of higher education and are eligible to return to the last institution attended. To satisfy by Test Results: Official Pearson Test of English (PTE) scores of 53 or higher, Official International English Language System (IELTS) scores of 6.0 or higher, Successful completion of ELS Level 112 - Intensive English Program, or iBT TOEFL Test of 79 or higher.
