在这里学什么？ Our English Literature programme is large and varied, offering you plenty of choice. We balance the study of canonical writers – Shakespeare, Wordsworth, Bronte – with texts and writers who may be less familiar to you.Options range from modules on specific authors (such as Shakespeare, Virginia Woolf), to topic-based subjects (Writing and the Environment, Post-Colonial Literatures), period-based study (Gender and Eighteenth-Century Fiction, Romanticism) and popular genres (Gothic Origins and Innovations, Crime Fiction). We’ll encourage you to explore diverse areas of literature and to investigate issues that matter to you in your final year project.Develop your knowledge of the media and creative industries, through this Media Communications course. You’ll develop in-depth knowledge of the theories, debates and professional practices that underpin the study of media.The course offers you the opportunity to develop your research skills, alongside your ability to critically analyse local, national and global media production. You’ll graduate with the critical, cultural and creative skills necessary to participate as a global citizen in the creative media industries.**Combined Honour Awards**At Bath Spa University many of our undergraduate programmes can be combined, so you don’t have to limit yourself to one subject. If you choose to study a combined award then in Year One you’ll start by studying both subjects in equal depth, then from Year Two you can choose whether to continue with an equally joint course, or a Major/Minor route.**More about the Professional Placement Year**A Professional Placement Year (PPY), traditionally known as a sandwich year, is where a student undertakes a period of work with an external organisation for between 9-13 months. The placement occurs between the students' second and third years of undergraduate study. Students can engage in up to 3 placements to make up the total time and are required to source the placement(s) themselves with support from the Careers and Employability Team.
