在这里学什么？ - Provides an opportunity to explore career identity through embedded education-relevant placement- Science behind learning, the research and analytical skills to investigate and generate new knowledge- Interdisciplinary approach to understanding education at the level of the individual and their place within diverse contextsOur exciting multidisciplinary Educational Psychology degree looks at learning within the wider world, across diversity in both context and individuals. Nurturing an interest in education and a deep concern for social justice, this course uses the lens of psychology to explore local, national and international policy and practice in order to transform lives.Informed by our Centre for Research in Early Childhood, the Psychology Centre for Health and Cognition, and building upon our externally funded projects on neuroscience in education, within this course you will discover the science of learning in both groups and individuals and gain the skills to investigate and generate new knowledge in the field.Accredited by British Psychological Society, this programme has professionalism at its core. Throughout the curriculum, and particularly within the embedded placement opportunity, the course will help students identify their professional aspirations and actively nurture them with personalized learning and opportunities for reflection. Graduates will have the knowledge and skills for further studies or employment within the education psychology sector and beyond.British Psychological Society (BPA) accreditation (80 credits per year are necessary for accreditation at levels 4, 5 and 6)**More about the Professional Placement Year**A Professional Placement Year (PPY), traditionally known as a sandwich year, is where a student undertakes a period of work with an external organisation for between 9-13 months. The placement occurs between the students' second and third years of undergraduate study. Students can engage in up to 3 placements to make up the total time and are required to source the placement(s) themselves with support from the Careers & Employability Team.
