Course overview

Taking a leading role in education environments demands many different qualities, from versatility and innovation to mentoring skills and an inclusive outlook. With statistics showing staff are progressing ever more quickly into leadership positions over the past decade, our Educational Leadership postgraduate course will help you prepare for such higher level roles and equip you to stand out as a truly effective leader within the sector.

Our course will immerse you in the core elements of diversity, inclusivity, special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), along with research, innovation and strategic leadership. You will learn how to critically analyse your current or future work environment and explore key concepts underpinning effective leadership within educational contexts, as well as coaching and mentoring within the workplace.

From mainstream schools to alternative provision, charities and community projects, our master’s degree in Educational Leadership reflects the wealth of education environments in which you may work, with placements incorporated into the course to allow you to apply the theory to your own context in order to meet your personal development aims. Delivery is also flexible, featuring a mixture of online sessions and face-to-face tuition to support your learning.

为来自中国的学生设计 Successful completion of a Bachelors Degree for a recognised university with an average grade of at least 75% will be considered for a place on a Masters Degree programme. IELTS - Overall score of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
