专业概况

World-renowned researchers. Cutting-edge technology. The graduate programs in Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences help students become science leaders. With a student-to-faculty ratio of 3.5 to 1, our nearly 100 graduate students receive individual attention. Most of our graduate students also receive financial support through research and teaching assistantships.

These experiences pay off: our graduates are actively sought by top employers in fields ranging from tectonics to climate change, and they apply their knowledge to solve the most important geoscience problems facing humanity.

Marine Sciences

We offer subprograms in biological, chemical, geological and physical oceanography.

Earth Sciences

MEAS graduates compete successfully for the best geosciences jobs in research, government service and the private sector. Mentored by researchers who publish their findings in top-tier journals, graduate students develop the leadership and technical skills employers demand. In addition to partnering with internationally recognized professors, students are encouraged to support one another through peer-to-peer mentoring and graduate seminar courses. MEAS graduate students present their research at the leading conferences worldwide.
