The course aims to develop confident senior dental practitioners to undertake effective evidence-base practice in diagnostic oral sciences. The overall aim of the MSc programme is to deliver sound teaching in the theory and safe practice of modern clinical and diagnostic oral sciences. It aims to produce competent and reflective practitioners as well as encouraging opportunities for research and further postgraduate development. The programme aims are to: Provide unbiased teaching in the theory and practice of clinical and diagnostic oral sciences and related technologies. Promote critical approach to evaluating relevant literature so as to enable evidence-based practice and novel practices in diagnostic oral sciences. Enable continuing professional development and lifelong learning. Contribute to the research base of diagnostic oral sciences and to encourage research amongst practitioners. Develop qualified dentist's clinical practice and academic knowledge to a FHEQ level 7 according to the framework for higher education qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (2008). Meet the national and international need for more dentally qualified practitioners with enhanced knowledge and skills in diagnostic oral sciences. Promote an understanding of the different requirements essential to the provision of ethical, predictable and evidence based diagnostic oral sciences practice.

Completion of this programme will upskill dental practitioners in the dental specialism and should enhance employability and career progression within this specialist field.

为来自中国的学生设计 Typically, we require applicant for taught programmes to hold the equivalent of a UK first degree (usually in a relevant subject area). Please refer to the specific entry requirements for your chosen course of study as outlined in the online prospectus. We consider students who have good grades in the following: Bachelor's Degree. Normally the minimum English language entry requirement is IELTS (academic) of 6.0 (with no band score of less than 5.5).
