Historical studies invite you to explore diverse perspectives as you hone skills in research, analysis and problem-solving.

In addition to standard coursework, History M.A. students collaborate with the program faculty to select one of three options for completing their degree: Master's Thesis; Master's Project; Written and Oral Comprehensive Examinations.

Deepen Your Knowledge of the Past and Advance Your Career

Pursuing a Master of Arts in History is an excellent way to acquire in-depth and specialized knowledge of the periods, topics and developments that interest you most. Intimate graduate seminars teach you how to read and analyze historical scholarship and primary resources, while also honing your oral and written communication skills. Our graduate History program is ideal for teachers looking to enrich their disciplinary expertise and individuals pursuing careers in higher education. The Master of Arts in History also provides valuable training for careers in museum studies, archival work, the law and many other fields.

为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants will be considered for admission to University of Houston-Clear Lake, if they have earned bachelor's degrees or higher (as applicable) from a regionally accredited institution of higher education and are eligible to return to the last institution attended. To satisfy by Test Results: Official Pearson Test of English (PTE) scores of 53 or higher, Official International English Language System (IELTS) scores of 6.0 or higher, Successful completion of ELS Level 112 - Intensive English Program, or iBT TOEFL Test of 79 or higher.
