Engage Children’s Natural Curiosity in the Physical World

With your Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with Science 4-8 certification from University of Houston-Clear Lake, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills to captivate the minds of young scientists. Learn science-based curriculum design, safety, teaching strategies and assessment geared to elementary and middle school students. Master the fundaments of educational psychology and classroom management so that you can lead your students on an exploration of earth science, physics and chemistry. Refine your critical thinking and decision-making skills and develop effective classroom management and communication skills to define your teaching style for the class.

Create a Classroom Where Creativity and Invention Intersect

Learning is fueled by curiosity, creativity, and logical thinking skills. With your coursework, training and field experiences, you’ll learn to guide students to arrive at solutions creatively, without simply giving answers. 为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants who have attended an institution located outside the United States must: Possess the equivalent of a U.S. high school/secondary diploma. Proof of English Language Proficiency: Your minimum scores must be: 550 on the paper-based TOEFL exam; 79 on the TOEFL (iBT) exam; 6.0 on the IELTS exam, 53 on the PTE exam; or, you can successfully complete level 112 in the ELS Intensive English Language program.
