专业概况

在这里学什么？ This programme offers Nutrition and Psychology as equal components. This means the course is not accredited by the BPS (British Psychological Society) and you will not be eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership with the BPS. If you are looking for BPS accreditation you can study Psychology with Nutrition (BC6V). It also means that the course is not accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN). If you are looking for AfN accreditation you can study Nutrition with Psychological Studies (BC5V) and demonstrate additional competencies through an individual portfolio.Chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancers and diabetes kill more than 36m people each year. An unhealthy diet is known to be a major risk factor in the cause of many of these diseases. Additionally diet and nutritional status can be linked to many other conditions such as osteoporosis, dental disease and dementia for example. The Psychology degree at St Mary’s provides you with a scientific understanding of the mind, brain and behaviour. Alongside the academic content of the programme you will gain transferable skills, including the capacity for self-directed, reflective learning and project management.
